Palmetto Heritage Festival

The Heritage Festival at Palmetto Historical Park & Manatee County Agricultural Museum is set to kick off on Saturday, March 1, offering a fun-filled day for families. From 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, visitors can enjoy a variety of free activities, including crafts, contests, and guided tours of the park’s historic buildings. A highlight of the event will be the operation of the 1880 Heritage Station Post Office, which will feature a special ONE-DAY-ONLY cancellation designed by a local student artist. Attendees are encouraged to bring their stamped mail to be canceled. Outreach tables will be set up by various organizations around the park’s brick circle, providing additional entertainment and information. 63rd Annual Spring Open House at Gamble Plantation Historic State Park

The 63rd Annual Spring Open House at Gamble Plantation Historic State Park will be held on Sunday, March 2, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Visitors can step back in time and experience the lifestyle of the old south with period-specific demonstrations. The United Daughters of the Confederacy will add a touch of authenticity by wearing costumes from the 1840s through the 1870s. The historic Gamble Mansion will be open for free tours, and attendees can explore a Confederate encampment, listen to period music, and enjoy other activities throughout the day.
