A free shred day will happen tomorrow, Saturday, November 16th, 2024 between 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Manatee Technical College in east Bradenton. This annual event is hosted by Angelina “Angel” Colonneso, the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller of Manatee County. Bring your personal documents and hard drives for free shredding. This is a drive-thru event.

PLEASE NOTE: Wet paper or paper that has been previously wet cannot be accepted at this event.
Important Information:
- Residents can bring up to two standard-sized bankers’ boxes (12” x 10” x 15”) of documents for shredding.
- No drop-offs will be allowed. All participants must remain in their vehicles, where staff or volunteers will safely transfer documents into a bin for shredding or destruction.
- Paper clips, staples, rubber bands, file tabs, and labels do not need to be removed from documents.
- Shredding of paper and destruction of hard drives will take place on-site.
- Please review the list of accepted and non-accepted items below before attending.

- Plastic credit cards and IDs
- Hard drives
Not Allowed:
- Binders
- Junk mail
- Magazines
- Newspapers
- Wet or previously wet paper
