The Ellenton Premium Outlets may undergo a major expansion with plans to add two hotels to the popular shopping destination. Gulf Coast Factory Shops Limited Partnership is seeking approval for a new General Development Plan (GDP) that will bring both a 122-room Woodspring Suites Extended Stay Hotel and a 124-room LivSmart Studios by Hilton to the 68.76-acre site.
With the previous GDP for the outlet mall expired, the applicant has submitted a new plan that will keep the existing mall development intact while adding the two hotels within the current parking lot. The hotels will be built over existing parking spaces in the northwest corner of the property, next to the Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex.
The 124-room LivSmart Studios by Hilton is designed as a lower midscale, extended-stay solution targeting long-term guests, particularly those staying 20 nights or more. The hotel will feature a fully equipped kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, two-burner stovetop, and more. LivSmart Studios will be pet-friendly and offer a variety of amenities for added convenience, including a guest laundry area and a fitness center. Guests can also take advantage of complimentary grab-and-go breakfast and 24/7 coffee. There will be a designated area for packages and food deliveries, an outdoor firepit, grills, and seating, and weekly housekeeping services.
The second hotel, a 122-room Woodspring Suites Extended Stay Hotel, will offer a similar extended-stay experience but at a more economical price point. The Woodspring Suites brand is known for its budget-friendly offerings, with the Ellenton location expected to cater to guests seeking affordable long-term accommodations. A Woodspring Suites is already operating in nearby Bradenton, just west of the intersection of SR-70 and I-75.
Both hotels will have a maximum building height of four stories. The new development plan ensures that there will be no increase in lot coverage, impervious surfaces, or reduction in open space compared to the previous GDP for the outlet mall.
The new hotels will expand the range of options for visitors, making the Ellenton Premium Outlets a more diverse and attractive destination for both short-term shoppers and long-term guests alike.
