Plans have recently been filed to build a new Home Depot with garden center and CVS pharmacy off Moccasin Wallow Road at the northwest corner of Cater Road. The Home Depot will be 107,519 sq. ft. and the garden center will be 28,113 sq. ft., for a total of 135,632 sq. ft. This is adjacent to the plaza already under construction that will have a Chase Bank, McDonald’s, car wash, gas station, and more.
This is across Moccasin Wallow Road from the Seaire lagoon community that’s currently under construction on the south side of Moccasin Wallow Road.

Description: Proposing Retail Space Home Depot & CVS
Project Narrative: The proposed improvement is a 20 Acres of a 40 Acre parcel within the 153 acre property ID: 610320059 which is part of the Robinson Gateway development. The northern 20 acres are reserved for multifamily and will be submitted as a separate permit application. The approved General Development plan PDMU-15-04(G)(R) and PLN2203-0022 will be included as the basis of the design. The proposal includes the building of a Home Depot, CVS, and three outparcel retail sites within the parcel for 155,608 SF of the 400,000 SF allowable commercial/office approved. Additional square footage will be provided by the individual outparcels as new tenants are contracted for sale including outparcels 1 and 2. The application process will be for a Preliminary Site Plan approval for the designated area including water, sewer, and stormwater facilities. Most of the infrastructure outside the development area including water, sewer and stormwater was submitted and approved by Manatee County within a Final Site Plan application made by ZNS Engineering on October 9, 2023 (PLN 2310-0024) to serve the entire Robinson Gateway development area.
