Funded by Community Investment

This free, electric ride service is funded through each municipalities Community Redevelopment Area (CRA). For the new Palmetto service, the Palmetto CRA paid $36,034 for the first month, and will pay $27,034 per month until the end of the 6-month agreement. This provides 3 Tesla vehicles that work 56 hours per week, with no service on Mondays or Tuesdays. BEEFREE LLC, which operates Freebee, will also split advertising revenue 50/50 with the Palmetto CRA. Advertising opportunities include vehicle wraps, in-vehicle video ads, and in-app ads. According to our math, that works out to $114 for each hour the three Tesla’s are on the road, or $38 per hour per Tesla.
