Manatee Pool Supply
A new family owned and operated pool supply company opened earlier this month at the Trevesta shopping plaza in Palmetto. They sell a wide array of pool supplies, equipment and toys. They also offer pool repairs and remodeling. Behind the store is a huge 2,000 gallon tank of liquid chlorine for your pool treatment needs. Bulk liquid chlorine is available for pool service techs, painters, and pressure cleaning companies.
I stopped by to check out the store and met Eric, who owns and operates the store with his wife. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything pool related. Eric has over twenty years of pool experience from pool service tech, repairs, and management. He’s got great advice on upgrades, equipment, water analysis, and everything related to pools.
This is the latest store to open at the Trevesta shopping plaza. Back in February we told you about the first stores to open, which were Dollar General and H&H Nail & Spa. More stores are coming soon, including Dunkin’, Florida Dermatology and Skin Cancer Centers, Watts Dental, Growing Hands Learning Center, The UPS Store, and Alpha Martial Arts Academy. The only store that even appears close to completion is Dunkin’.

Belt Salon
A new luxury hair salon opened last week in the Woods of Moccasin Wallow shopping plaza. Belt Salon is the first store to open in the second phase of the plaza, with more tenants on the way. This is just east of the first WOMW plaza with Corporate Ladder Brewing, TK Grill & BBQ, American Honey Creamery, USA Nails, and Mann Orthodontics.
Aveda products are used exclusively at Belt Salon. These are vegan, organic, natural products from a company that’s been around since 1978. All of the staff are also trained by Aveda.
The experience begins with relaxing cup of tea. A friendly stylist massages your scalp, shoulders, neck, and hands.
Beyond hair cutting and styling, the salon also offers hair coloring, color correction and waxing.
I stopped by and met the local owners and operators, John and Laura. They and their staff were very friendly and welcoming. The business signs are delayed, both for the building and the plaza sign, but they are open and accepting appointments now!
