UPDATE – This Taco Bell opened on or before Nov. 13th, 2024.
Taco Bell, winner of the franchise wars in the 1993 movie Demolition Man, is coming to the Gateway Commons plaza near I-75 & Moccasin Wallow Rd. Construction is well underway, but far behind the original March opening date. This will be the first fast food drive-through restaurant in the area.
We reached out to Taco Bell for an estimated opening date, but haven’t received a response. From the current construction status, it looks like it may be open in a few months.

In 2024, Taco Bell is a loser in the fast food wars. They don’t even open the dining room at the Palmetto location by Walmart. Support local like Simple Mexican in Parrish.
