Event Free

Tonight is family night and a veterans tribute at the Manatee County Fair. Sponsored by Palmetto Build, admission is free from 5-10 p.m. this evening. Please bring a canned good or non-perishable food item for the Mayors Feed the Homeless program.

The veterans tribute program begins at 6:30 p.m. There will be a patriotic performance by the 301 Travelers band, and William Sterbinsky, founder of SRQ Vets, will be the guest speaker.

Annual attendance averages around 100,000 visitors per year, with the record being set in 1990 with 116,565 attendees. The first Manatee County Fair was first held on February 28th, 1916 on Ninth Street in Bradentown (later changed to Bradenton). It was on 69 acres of pasture owned by the late Major A.J. Adams. The fair later moved to Palmetto and has continued to be a successful and fun agricultural event.

The Manatee County Fair will run through Sunday, January 26th, 2025. For more information, please visit manateecountyfair.com
