Authorities say a 41-year-old Parrish woman has been arrested following an alleged battery on a delivery driver during an Instacart delivery, according to a report from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred on November 28, 2025, at a residence on 2808 102nd Avenue East in Parrish. Officials report that the offender, identified as Catheryn Clara Vazquez, allegedly approached the delivery driver after she declined to back into the driveway.
According to the report, Vazquez allegedly grabbed the driver by the hair and banged her head against the steering wheel several times. When the driver’s side door opened, Vazquez reportedly continued the attack and attempted to remove the keys from the ignition. Authorities say she then went to the rear of the vehicle and took the delivery merchandise before the driver was able to leave and call 911.
Officials say EMS responded to the scene to treat the driver for injuries, which included pain in the head, neck, and back, as well as a small bruise documented by deputies. The victim was later transported to North River Ranch ER.

Authorities report that the driver took photos of Vazquez and her home with a cellphone, which deputies later used to positively identify Vazquez. When deputies attempted to interview Vazquez, she allegedly minimized the incident, stating that “a crazy woman delivered water” to her yard and left.
Based on the driver’s statements, documented injuries, and willingness to press charges, deputies arrested Vazquez and transported her to the Manatee County jail without further incident. According to jail records, Vazquez remains incarcerated. As with all criminal cases, Vazquez is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
